  • Offshore Montauk Hotel Opening This Summer

    The former Sands Motel at 71 South Emerson Avenue is undergoing a comprehensive $84 million renovation and will reopen as Offshore Montauk this summer. The 43-room luxury hotel will feature ocean and Fort Pond views, a resort-style pool, spa with cold plunges and infrared saunas, red LED light therapy, a gym, and private terraces. Room rates are expected to range from $700 to $2,000 per night.

  • New Dining and Nightlife Spots in Montauk

    • Ocean Club at Montauk Yacht Club: Chef Jarad McCarroll introduces a seafood and steak menu in a renovated waterfront setting.  
    • Gigi’s at Gurney’s: Debuting in mid-June, Gigi’s will focus on steak and seafood, replacing Scarpetta at Gurney’s resort.
    • Montauk Project: A new upscale venue featuring a raw bar, expanded cocktail menu, and nightly live music.
    • The Bird House: A speakeasy-style bar hidden within The Bird brunch spot, offering themed cocktails and live country music.
